An De Donder

An De Donder is an actress and theatre maker with a special love for stories that conquer the hearts of young and old. In the play 7 she gave her own interpretation to the fairytale Snow White. In 2006 she made an adaptation of Godfried Bomans' Kleine Insectenboek for HETPALEIS. In the same year she made The Happy Prince and Oscar Wilde happen for Muziektheater Transparant, while narrating and drawing.

An De Donder writes, plays, narrates and sings. She also directs and for some productions she even designs set and light. She gradually developed her own theatrical language: a unique mix of language, narration, music and image, preferably all in a live and interactive format.

The list of production houses and theatre companies she's worked for is as long as it is versatile: Monty, Reizend Volkstheater, Oud Huis Stekelbees, Nova Zembla, De Werf, De Onderneming, Theater Stap, Walpurgis, LOD, Villanella, HETPALEIS, Muziektheater Transparant. She also works on independent projects with Luc Mishalle and Elvis Peeters.
