“If Sound Matters” was born in 2003 from the combination of a classically trained guitarist and a lifelong passion for sound quality.

Bart Celis / If Sound Matters has made recordings ranging from classical, tango and jazz to heavier guitar work. He made recordings for, among others, Sergey Sobolev (Elisabeth piano competition), De Filharmonie and the Flemish opera, Graindelavoix, recorded the young Brussels Jazz scene on CD (including David Thomaere, Antoine Pierre, Steven Delanoy) and did recordings and post-production for Rosas, Muziektheater Transparent, ZOO/Thomas Hauert and many others…

In addition to realizing recordings, Bart Celis / If Sound Matters was (and is) also responsible for sound amplification and Sound Design for musical theater and dance performances throughout Europe for, among others, Muziektheater Transparant, LOD and since 2016 for ZOO/Thomas Hauert, where he collaborated, among others. with the renowned Ircam institute from Paris (Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique).
