Emiel Vandenberghe was born in 1995 in Ghent, Belgium and began dancing at the age of thirteen at the Royal Ballet School in Antwerp. where he graduated with greatest distinction. After completing his studies in Antwerp, Emiel was invited to the prestigious English National Ballet School in London where he continued his classical training and also danced in contemporary and neoclassical repertoire. 

Prior to graduation, Emiel was offered a contract with the Badisches Staatsballett Karlsruhe where he in 2019 received a promotion and became soloist. Next to performing, he was given the opportunity to choreograph for the ballet company, and has since then been asked to create for various departments. 

After six years in Germany, Emiel returned to Belgium to pursue a freelance career. Recently, he played a leading role in the feature film Weeping Walk by Dimitri Verhulst and can also be seen in the work of Miet Warlop. In addition to his artistic work, he is active as a model and is represented by several international modeling agencies.
