Nette De Maeyer (b. 2003) is a costume designer and theatre studies student at Ghent University.

In 2024, she earned her bachelor's degree in costume design from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. During her studies, she developed a fascination for historical clothing and stereotypical imagery, which translated into costumes that blend contemporary materials with silhouettes from the past. This focus is tied to a feminist motivation to better understand the historiographical position of women in society. In 2025, she decided to deepen her academic knowledge of the performing arts at Ghent University. She is currently enrolled in a preparatory programme for the Master's in Theatre Studies, which she combines part-time with her work as a costume designer.

As a costume designer, she works across various performing arts disciplines, including music, film, and theatre. In 2025, she worked as a designer and creative director for the feminist Flemish punk group Kaat Van Stralen. Her love of historical silhouettes and recognisable materials has come to life on stage in unique performance costumes. She has also designed costumes for various short films and theatre productions. Upcoming projects include No More War Songs by Theatre Zuidpool, Wagenspel by Max Last and Muziektheater Transparant, The Land of Journey’s Ending by Lisa Hones, and the arthouse film De Monding by Amsterdam-based director Xousha Eisenhardt.
