Damiano Meacci is a musician and sound researcher who has been working for more than twenty-five years. From the second half of the nineties, he began his activity of live electronics collaborating with Tempo Reale.

This commitment to live electronics has led him to look for new approaches and new solutions. At the same time this long period of commitment has led him to experiment in numerous performative areas, often having to shift his attention not only to the aspects strictly related to live electronics but also to the aspects closer to electroacoustics and sound diffusion. In addition to this process of development and technological research, over the years, he has continued to develop all the themes more strictly related to the musical aspect, focusing on the creation of sound content for performances and installations.

This varied activity led Damiano Meacci to participate in numerous national and international festivals. This artistic and research activity influenced the dissemination activity that led him to present some of his projects in conferences and conventions.

Since 2008, he has been teaching electronic music regularly in Music Conservatories. He is currently professor of Computer Music at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence.
