Warre Borgmans studied at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, where he received a First Prize in the Theatrical Arts. In 1980, along with former fellow students Sam Bogaerts, Lucas Vandervost, Johan Van Assche and Luc Perceval, he set up Het Gezelschap van de Witte Kraai, which later merged into Toneelproducties De Tijd. He has been with them for many years and has worked on many productions, including Don Carlos, Torquato Tasso, De Fantasten, Zomergasten and Mijn Grafschrift. He was a guest at De Blauwe Maandag Cie for productions including Othello and Wilde Lea, and at the National Theatre Ghent for Pinokkio.

To the public at large, Warre Borgmans is best known through his work for television and film. He played the CEO in Windkracht 10, the boss in Het Eiland, one of the brothers Grimm in Kulderzipken and in Stille waters. On the big screen he can be seen in Blinker, Team Spirit 2 and Buitenspel. He lent his voice to Woody in Toy Story and to the pelican in Finding Nemo.

Borgmans is no stranger to musical theatre, having worked on a number of productions with the ensemble Prima la Musica, on De kickflip with the Rubio string quartet and on Peter and the Wolf with the Syrinx ensemble.
