As a toddler, Ruben Hawer (1998) went to The Wingerd, a Rudolf Steiner preschool. He finished his primary education at the Sint-Ludgardis open-air school in Brasschaat and now he attends the Sint-Michiels College (secundary school), also in Brasschaat, where he studies Latin and Greek. Ruben's musical education started when he was six years old, at the Marcel Van Heuven school of music. A year later, he chose the violin as his first instrument, which he now plays in the orchestra of the music school of Ekeren. Since 2008 he is a member of the Children's Choir of the Flemish Opera, having participated in all productions and performances, including La Strada, Turandot, Don Carlos, Die Frau ohne Schatten, La Damnation de Faust, Mahler 3, Fauré's Requiem and KLARA4KIDS. Three years ago he started studying the piano as a second instrument.
