The American soprano and director works in the field of opera for 20 years championing new narratives for women, onstage and off. She also toured as a soloist for Alain Platel, choreographer at les ballets C de la B, under the musical direction of Fabrizio Cassol, having performed creations VSPRS, Pitié! (ARTE TV) and Requiem pour L. She directed and created SOLA SOLETTA at the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen (2022), examining gender roles within the classical music canon, as well as Love Songs (2020) and Las Místicas de México (2024) for IN Series in Washington DC, and Let me be Frank for Arena Stage. She is currently a Ph.D. researcher of Breath Art at the RITCS School of Arts in Brussels, and an Associate Professor of Embodied Leadership at Virginia Tech.
