Katelijne Verbeke is a renowned Belgian actress who has many superb performances to her name. She has been nominated twice for the Theo d’Or, in 1995 for the title role in Agatha, and in 2005 for the part of Anna in Iets over de liefde. In 2014-15 she toured the world in Front (directed by Luk Perceval), a joint production by NTGent and Thalia (Hamburg).
She has played the leading female parts in the films In Ongenade (nominated for the Golden Calf for the Best Female Lead) and Off Mineur. After that she appeared in Dossier K, Blinden, the internationally successful film Hasta La Vista and in the television series Windkracht 10, Bloedverwanten and Zuidflank. The film Achter de wolken, in which she plays one of the leading parts, came out in Belgium last year.
