Elizabeth Cragg studied at Royal Holloway College and at the Royal College of Music where she won a number of singing prizes. Current and future plans include Ninette L’Amour des Trois Oranges (Netherlands Opera)‚ Flowermaiden Parsifal with Sir Mark Elder and The Hallé at the BBC Proms‚ Mrs Julian Owen Wingrave (Théâtre du Capitole‚ Toulouse)‚ Angelica in Steffani’s Orlando Generoso (Barber Opera‚ Birmingham) and St. John Passion (Washington National Cathedral).

Further operatic engagements include Flowermaiden Parsifal and Frantik The Cunning Little Vixen (Royal Opera House‚ Covent Garden)‚ First Niece Peter Grimes under Sir Simon Rattle (Salzburg Easter Festival and Berlin)‚ Zerbinetta (Garsington Opera)‚ Clorinda Il Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda (Netherlands Opera); Belinda Dido and Aeneas (Akademie für Alte Musik‚ Berlin and Brussels) and Fauno in Mozart’s Ascanio in Alba (Buxton Festival). She created the role of the Swan in Jonathan Doves’s Swanhunter (Opera North) and that of the Angel in Doves’s chamber opera Seven Angels.

Concert performances includes Bach’s Magnificat with the Northern Sinfonia‚ performances with the Hallé Orchestra and Carl Davis‚ featuring songs from My Fair Lady and other West End Musicals‚ Haydn The Creation at the Three Choirs Festival‚ Mozart’s Mass in C Minor with The Sixteen and The Bach Choir‚ Messiah with The Sixteen and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra‚ Mozart Concert Arias with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra‚ Handel’s Dixit Dominus and St Matthew Passion with The English Concert‚ Bach Cantatas with The Hanover Band and Dido and Aeneas with the OAE at the BBC Proms.

Recordings include Rutter Magnificat (Naxos) and Mozart Regina Coeli (Naxos) to be released next year.
