Lars Corijn obtained a degree in Classical Voice from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in the studio of bass Gary Jankowski. He works as a freelance singer for well-known houses such as Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, La Monnaie and the Vlaams Radio Koor. As a soloist he has performed in productions by the SPECTRA Ensemble and DESCHONECOMPANIE. As a conductor Lars has been taught by Luc Anthonis, Koen Kessels, Steven Verhaert, Jan Van der Roost and Dirk De Caluwe. He works as Chief Conductor of the Antwerpse Studentenharmonie, Popkoor Kantamiko and OBVoiced, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen’s staff choir. His broad repertoire list includes Beethoven’s piano concerti, Wagner’s Wesendonck lieder and Handel’s Dixit Dominus. As well as the classical orchestral repertoire, Lars also has a great fondness for the HaFaBra repertoire. During the 2022/2023 season, Lars will make his debut as Assistant Conductor at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen.
