Lars Corijn (b. 1996) graduated as a classical singer from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in the studio of the American bass Gary Jankowski. He works as a freelance chorister and soloist for renowned houses such as Opera Ballet Flanders, the Vlaams Radio Koor and deschonecompanie. In the past, Lars has performed opera roles including Albert Herring (B. Britten), Monostatos (W.A. Mozart), Duca (G. Verdi) and others.

As a conductor Lars won second prize in the WMC International Conductors Contest in Kerkrade (the Netherlands). Following masterclasses with Josep Vila i Casañas and Vladimir Kiradjiev on both the choral and the orchestral repertoire, in summer 2022 Lars prepared himself for a packed season as Chief Conductor of the Mahler Student Festival Orchestra, the Antwerpse Studentenharmonie, KF Sint-Jansvrienden Wiekevorst, OBVoiced and Assistant Conductor at Casco Phil and the Symphony Orchestra of Opera Ballet Flanders for the new opera Kruistocht by Frederik Neyrinck.

His repertoire list includes the piano concertos and symphonies of Beethoven, Brahms’ symphonies 1, 3 and 4, various opera overtures and arias, Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, and choral works by Francis Poulenc, Maurice Ravel and numerous contemporary composers.
