Belgium based, Mar Sala graduated from Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu (Barcelona) with Christian Farroni and did her master in classic and contemporary music with Myriam Graulus in Ghent and orchestral piccolo with Peter Verhoyen and Anke Lauwers in Antwerpen (Belgium).

Mar Sala is founding member of the Nemø Ensemble of new music and currently on trial as piccolo soloist at the NFM Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra (Poland). Nowadays, Mar Sala is also part of the Ictus and Spectra Ensemble Academy.

Throughout her career she has been invited to play in En avant mars, Belgium Bach Festival, Darmstadt Feriënkursen (2018) and has been an active performer participant on Mixtur Festival (2019) where she premiered the IV movement from Joan Arnau Pàmies’ new creation.
