In 1988 Eric Sleichim founded BL!NDMAN. This saxophone quartet, in a traditional line-up, develops new playing techniques and substantially enhances the repertoire for the instrument. In 2008 BL!NDMAN became a collective in which the 20 years of stage experience accumulated by the original quartet – BL!NDMAN [sax] – is shared with three young quartets: BL!NDMAN [drums], BL!NDMAN [strings] and BL!NDMAN [vox], making possible a cross-fertilisation between two generations and four quartets.

Eric Sleichim and BL!NDMAN are internationally acclaimed for their multidisciplinary approach.

Right from the start, they have been commissioned by creators in theatre and dance. They developed multimedia projects and provided the soundtrack for several silent movies. In addition, they are often asked to create custom programmes for special occasions.

In 2013, BL!NDMAN [drums] was ensemble in residence at Flagey, Brussels.
