The German-American coloratura soprano Natasha Young started her career as a jazz and soul singer and performed with many bands in the jazz clubs of Southern Germany, Chile and New York City, before initiating her musical studies at the University of Music, Trossingen/Germany.

During the season 2012-2013, Young was directly hired as member of the Opera Elite Studio of the Theatre of Lübeck/Germany, were she debuted as Lola (Cavalleria Rusticana) and, amongst others performed the roles of 1st Blumenmädchen (Parsifal) and Princess Mi (Das Land des Lächelns). In cooperation with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Young sang the role of The Fairy in Cendrillon. Further roles included Serpetta (La finta giardiniera), Serena (Porgy and Bess), Gepopo (Mysteries of the Macabre). 

Initially, Natasha Young started her singing lessons with D'Ann Ricciolini (San Francisco), before studying with Professor Moldenhauer (Trossingen/Germany) and Jazz Vocals with Anika Köse (Stuttgart/Germany). She completed her education with Saverio Suarez-Ribaudo (Munich/Germany) and Valerie Guillorit (Amsterdam/Netherlands). Currently, Young is working with Birgit Calm (University of Music/Lübeck/Germany). 

Artistic influences through master classes and musical projects and performances were strongly transferred from Kurt Widmer (Singing/Basel), Angelika Luz (Contemporary Music/Stuttgart), Michael Temme (Director/Vienna), Matías Tosi (Singing/Cologne), John Norris (Singing/Berlin) and Ulrich Pöhl (Contemporary Music/Utrecht).

Natasha Young not only performs on opera stages, but also as a concert singer and chamber musician, having sung the soprano parts of the Bach Passions and the sacred music of Haydn, Händel, Pergolesi, Dvorak, Rossini and Mozart, as well as musicals by Leonard Bernstein and Cole Porter and various first releases of contemporary music. Young is member of the SWR Vokalensemble/Radio Choir of Stuttgart and VOCAALLAB (Amsterdam), the renowned vocal ensemble for contemporary music and performance.
