Mara Snip reinvented herself in the safe space that is Berlin’s underground club scene. Now, she is trying to find her way back into the light. She breathes, sings, and moves in a search for radical tenderness; her practice is based on her belief in the power of vulnerability and femininity. Snip considers her transition the ultimate form of self-expression and allows it to guide her towards a more connected, creative, and authentic life. Each day invites her to enter into a renewed, deeper relationship with her developing body and find novel, compassionate ways of being. Snip’s transition has given her a remarkably strong sense of autonomy and encourages her to claim space for queer visibility and rights in our repressed, dysfunctional society.
