Hanna Al-Bender (1996) could sing before she could talk. At the age of eight, and together with her brother and sister, she passed an audition for the Flemish Opera's Children's Choir, participating in numerous operas and concert projects.

Hanna's dream is to become a professional singer. She attends the secondary programme of the Lemmensinstituut in Louvain, studying the flute and piano and singing classes with Annelies Van Gramberen.

Of all the opera productions in which the Children's Choir participated, she liked Luk Van Hove's La Strada the best. She is very much looking forward to Queen of the Night: 'It will be my first solo part and I get to sing big arias. It's terribly exciting, but also wonderful."
