Anne Niepold (1982) discovered the accordion at the age of 13. She participated in many training courses with, notably, Bruno le Tron, Didier Laloy, Norbert Pignol, Stéphane Milleret and Philippe Thuriot.

Throughout the years, Anne has left behind the world of traditional music and discovered her interest for improvised music and jazz. This leads her to studying composition and jazz arrangement with Kris Defoort at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel. In 2008 she obtains her master degree and wins the prestigious «Toots Thielemans Jazz Award».

She also obtained her teaching certificat and currently teaches at Muziekpublique and at the academy of Sint-Agatha-Berchem as well as in many international training courses.
While studying, Anne played in very diverse ensembles (Olla Vogala, Chansons sans Paroles, La Roza Enflorese,…), giving many concerts in Belgium and abroad.

Filled with the permanent desire to develop her own music, she rapidly mounts personal projects: deux accords diront - duo that won the «Gus Viseur» price (Paris/2006) -, s nachts zijn alle katten grijs (solo show for children created for Zonzo Compagnie /2009), Hotel Terminus (jazz trio), Marcel Marcelsson et Aline Alinopoulos (French chanson), Knopf Quartet…

Today, you can hear Anne not only with her own projects, but also in prestigious ensembles such as Muziektheater Transparant (Orlando) as well as Graindelavoix (Muntagna Nera).
