La Loba

A score and manifesto about the archaic - or fluid - duality of masculinity and femininity, of the dichotomy in man.

La Loba is an opera- and primal duet, a dialogue for two high singing voices, a score for voice and light, a space wherein two bodies move towards a new aria, between vibrato and howling. It is a manifest for fluidity of masculinity and femininity, of human and animal, of tenor and soprano. Two bodies wander through an operamachine of light and dark. Two voices move through and against vocal patterns and cliches. Two solos search for the duet, with or without each other. The duet is a plea to release our inner wolves. The wolves bathe in the fluidity of nature, a new ancient song.
