This year's summer youth opera project is Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas.
Every summer Muziektheater Transparant organizes an intensive rehearsal period during which young singers and musicians create their own version of a masterpiece from the baroque era. After Claudio Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo in 2010 and John Blow’s Venus and Adonis in 2011, the 2012 programme will feature one of the bestloved works from the baroque repertoire: Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.
