Youth festival on art, technology & the future, from 17 to 24 October
Metropolis is the mother of all science fiction films. Fritz Lang’s 1927 classic explores the relationship between man and machine and envisions the world a hundred years later: what does life look like in 2026?
Today, numerous (arts) organisations and schools challenge young people to think critically about the city of tomorrow and their place within it. What opportunities, desires, challenges, and obstacles are hidden in the future? What will the city look like in 100 years’ time? And what does it even mean to be human in the year 2126? This future is imagined in an eight-day arts festival, specially curated for and by young people. Expect a programme filled with theatre, fashion, music, workshops, debates, film, spoken word, digital installations, and more!
