Les Indes Galantes

The French ballet opera Les Indes Galantes is the scenery for this edition of the youth opera under the TRANSLAB label of Muziektheater Transparant.

The annual youth opera was called a live changing experience by many exparticipants, the place where it all started for them.

This unique TRANSLAB-project for young vocalists and instrumentalists will be directed this year by Artistic coordinator Wouter Van Looy, director Luigi de Angelis, harpsichordist/conductor Korneel Bernolet and vocal coaches Claron McFadden and Myriam Arbouz..

During a two-week internship programme the inspiring team of coaches leads the way for the younger generation in the creation of a performance at deSingel Antwerp, which smells of entertaining exoticism packaged in 18th century philosophy.
