Thibault Vancraenenbroeck was born in Brussels, but grew up in Florence. He designs sets and costumes for dance, theatre and opera. He has worked with Frédéric Dussenne, Enzo Pezzella, Dominique Baguette, Barbara Manzetti, Olga de Soto, Pierre Droulers, Charlie Degotte, Sébastien Chollet, Isabelle Marcelin et Didier Payen, Nathalie Mauger, Pascale Binnert, Yves Beaunesne, Sybille Cornet, Sofie Kokaj, Marc Liebens, Françoise Berlanger, Cindy van Acker, Alexis Moati, Anna van Brée, Perrine Valli, Florence Lloret, François Girard, Andréa Novicov, Rolando Villazon, Maya Boësch, Pierrick Sorin, Christophe Honoré, Richard Brunel, Yoshi Oida… and Stéphane Braunschweig, with whom he has collaborated in both theatre and opera since 1995. The first time he worked with Jorge León was on the MITRA project.

He has additionally created two video installations based on the writings of Maurice Blanchot, and is presenting a photography project in association with Grégoire Romefort. From 2001 to 2008 he worked regularly at the École Supérieure d’Art Dramatique du TNS as a lecturer and member of the assessment panel for the Set and Costume Design Department, just as he does in the Costume Department of the Royal Academy in Antwerp.
