Piet Rebel (1965) graduated cum laude at the Sweelinck Conservatoire in Amsterdam.

Through different bands including De Snelste Band van België and The Walhalla Fire Station, he started his collaboration with Diederick De Cock. The two met in BL!NDMAN, a quartet which has always set great standards by sound research and unorthodox use of the saxophone.

For fifteen years, Piet Rebel was a member of the BL!NDMAN saxophone quartet collaborated with artistic director Eric Sleichim at projects with Paul van Nevel, VA Wölff, Guy Cassiers, Frank Agsteribbe and Philip Herreweghe.

Other ensembles he worked with include deFilharmonie, De Munt, Champ d'Action, Ictus, Musique Nouvelle, Art Zoyd, Het Nederlands Saxofoon Kwartet and The World Saxophone Orchestra.
