Lisa Tahon (°1989) is a filmmaker from Ostend. She studied directing (MA) at the RITS in Brussels. Since 2010 she has been a filmmaker for Vrijstaat O.

In October 2012 Lisa made her first documentary in Palestine, called Upside Down, about five students attending the Palestinian Circus School. In 2014, and in collaboration with Bui Ngoc Quan, she presented Parallel Lines under the wing of the social and artistic organization kleinVerhaal. The work is performed by male prisoners from the prison in Bruges, with whom Tahon and Quan worked closely for eight weeks. In that same year, and once again in association with the kleinVerhaal organisation, she also made the silent movie Cirque Magique, a compilation of fictional scenes in which people from Veurne demonstrate their circus talents, with live accompaniment by the Koninklijke Harmonie Sint-Cecilia (Royal Saint Cecilia Brass Band).

Apart from this, in 2014 Lisa Tahon made trailers and dance documentaries of international and national dance performances by Bára Sigfúsdóttir (The Lover), 3art3 Company (Untold) and Vittoria De Ferrari Sapetto (088). In May 2015 she created the documentary Gloed for CC De Grote Post, about the work of the choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly.

In 2015, Lisa Tahon also made the documentary Tegoare Sterker for the province of West Flanders, about West-Flemish poverty organisations.

Although during the last four years Lisa Tahon has focused largely on dance and social and artistic projects, the music scene continues to fascinate her. Jazz particularly appeals to her imagination. And in fact over the past few years she has made several film documentaries about well-known and lesser known jazz artists. From April 2012 to November 2013 Met-X commissioned Lisa Tahon to document the European tour of the European Saxophone Ensemble, a jazz group. Since 2015 Lisa has also worked closely with the Brussels Jazz bureau Aubergine Artist Management. Her film documentaries include one on the young Flemish group LABtrio.

In recent years Lisa Tahon has collaborated closely with professionals in the Flemish jazz sector such as Joppe Bestevaar, Sam Joris, Dieter Limbourg, Bram De Looze, Frederik Leroux, Lennart Heyndels, Matthias De Waele, Thomas Decock, Steven Delannoye, Micheal Attias, Christopher Hoffmann, Marc Van De Hoof, Lies Steppe, Matthijs de Ridder, Maaike Wuyts, Stef Vonk, Anneleen Boehme, Lander Gyselinck, Pieter Koten and Benny Claeysier.
