Frederik Meulyzer (1983) studied percussion at the Antwerp Conservatoire and the Lemmens Institute in Leuven and specializes in jazz. He has won several prizes, including an award for best soloist at the Jazz XL contest in 2008. His band ‘Hamster Axis of the One-Click Panther’ is an odd man out on the Belgian jazz scene. Frederik Meulyzer composes music for performing-arts productions by, among others, Post uit Hessdalen and with his group Stray Dogs.
