Corrie Van Binsbergen

Carrie Van Binsbergen (°1957) is a guitarist, composer and artistic & business director at Stichting Brokken. At Stichting Brokken she initiates innovating projects like Corrie en de Grote Brokken, a collaboriation with leading figures from the Dutch pop and jazz scene. Schrijvers in Concert is another surprising project that combines music and literature by Remco Campert, Kees van Kooten, Toon Tellegen, Ramsey Nasr and others. After finishing her studies of the classic guitar in 1984, Van Binsbergen has been very active in the music scene for over 25 years and has played at many national and international festivals. In 1999 she received the prestigious VPRO/Boy Edgar price for her creativity, craftsmanship and versatility. She has been commissioned by many leading organizations like Holland Festival, NPS, ASKO Ensemble, Filmmuseum, Nederlands Blazers Ensemble, Radio Symfonie Orkest, Zappstrijkwartet, Loeki Stardust, Mondriaan Strijkkwartet, ASKO and Barbara Hannigan.
